Description

Our Federal Government client has an immediate request for a project coordinator.

Duties

Duties/tasks:

  • Research, program analysis, knowledge development, and program/project management related to emergency planning;
  • Creation, development and execution of emergency response plans that demonstrate, convey or enhance skills and knowledge in emergency planning and emergency response;
  • Compilation, review, analysis and maintenance of integrated, emergency response data systems and plans, designed to track, organize and share key information relating to emergency planning and response;
  • Coordination of meetings, symposia, workshops and similar events - unique or recurring - involving internal and external stakeholders with shared interests in emergency planning.

Qualifications

This work requires Project Coordinator with extensive experience (5 years+) as follows:

  • Experience in contributing to the planning and managing of program or project (This must include work plan and budget preparation).
  • Experience in planning and coordinating meetings, workshops, conferences or similar events.
  • Experience in providing services in the areas of travel, contracts and hospitality.
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
  • Experience in working with a variety of stakeholder groups including federal and/or, provincial and/or territorial governments.
  • Experience in using MS project.

University degree with a specialization in one of the following areas:

  • project management, administration, finance or any related field.
