Description

Our government client is seeking the services of a web content and Intranet Manager.

Duties

  • Plans, establishes and schedules project timelines and milestones for the implementation of a large-scale technical project.
  • Monitor progress to ensure successful completion of each phase and milestone.
  • Coordinate a team of consultants including functional and technical staff, providing regular direction, project reviews, assistance and problem solving as needed.
  • Make improvements, address problems/conflicts, and take corrective action when problems arise.
  • Identify, monitor and respond to project risks.
  • Develop and implement organizational change management and communications plans.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive Internet/intranet service delivery experience.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in the successful project management of Web-related solutions and their implementation.
  • Knowledge of Government of Canada policies, standards, and guidelines related to electronic communications, including the Government of Canada Communications Policy and the Government of Canada Standards for Common Look and Feel on the Internet (CLF 2.0).
  • Experience as a project manager on a minimum of one (1) full-cycle large-scale (50,000+ documents) Web-site redesign activity within the Government of Canada.
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of standard project management methodologies that are consistent with the Project Management Institute (PMI) best practices and standards.
  • Experience using project management tools and software packages, including Microsoft Project
  • Knowledge of Web Content Management Systems.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in both official languages
 

Assets

  • Experience implementing organizational change in a Web environment.
  • Familiarity with the principles and practices of the Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide).
  • In-depth knowledge of the Open Text Web Site Management WCMS (formerly RedDot).
  • PMI Certification
Knowledge of the Google Search Appliance
