Description

Our government client is looking for a Senior Level Business Analyst with Secret clearance.

Duties

The Planning and Coordination Division (PCD) of IMTD requires professional services of an experienced senior Business Analyst (BA) with strong analytical and communication skills, to gather, analyze, model and document the business requirements for a variety of corporate systems and projects. 

 Summary of DutiesReporting to the Director, PCD and working directly with the business subject matter experts, IMTD project managers and the project team members, the senior BA will be accountable for interfacing with the business clients to gather, analyze, model and document business and information requirements and processes in the format and structure determined by IMTD. This resource will also be responsible for working with the IMTD solution design and development team to assist with the proper interpretation of the business requirements, formulating the systems specifications and evaluating the potential solutions

Qualifications

Mandatory CriteriaM1 Minimum of 10 years of business analysis experience, including documenting business requirements and business modelling, in the last 15 years. Periods worked in other capacities with different job titles will NOT be considered as business analysis experience.  M2  Minimum of 10 years of experience working with system designers / data modellers / implementation teams on software development projects with business clients as end users, in the last 15 years.

M3 Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a government organization in the last 15 years

 

Tasks - Deliverables

  • Scope statements;
  • Business and process models;
  • Business requirements document (functional and non-functional);
  • Requirements traceability matrix;
  • Use cases, process and information flow diagrams;
  • Establishing acceptance test criteria with the business client;
  • Identifying options for improving business systems and bridging the needs of the business with the use of IT solutions;
  • Working with project team and developers, ensuring the solution conforms to business requirements;
  • Contribution to the development of systems and functional specifications;
  • Regular status reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaising among stakeholders in order to understand the structure, policies, and operations of an organization;
  • Business modeling and business model analysis;
  • Documenting business requirements, process modeling, data and information flow modeling using industry recognized methodologies;
  • Writing business use cases and business scenarios;
  • Performing fit-gap analysis with respect to “as is” versus “to be” business requirements;
  • Delivering business requirements walk through sessions to the technical team;
  • Identifying the impacts of constraints and dependencies on scope and business requirements
