Our government client is looking for a resource with Enhanced reliability for a contract in socioeconomics.


The resource will be assisting with data analysis and reporting for Canada’s 2009 Municipal Water and Wastewater Survey. His/Her main functions will be to perform analyses with survey data in SPSS, to help create summary tables of the survey data and to update survey-related reports. The resource may be required to collect information that is missing from the survey responses by searching municipal (and other) websites or by calling municipalities directly and asking for specific data.


The following skills will be required to successfully perform the work for this requirement:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft software - minimum requirement: Excel, Word, Outlook, and Internet Explorer
  • Experience in quantitative data analysis
  • Experience working with relational databases
  • Knowledge of collection, processing and dissemination of data
  • Asset: experience with SPSS statistical software
  • Asset: experience with MS Access
  • Asset: basic knowledge of water and wastewater distribution terminology
  • Asset: Knowledge of survey development and implementation (questionnaires, online reporting systems, call-backs, etc.)
  • Able to work with minimal supervision


  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in quantitative data analysis.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with relational databases.
  • Minimum of 1 year of knowledge of collection, processing and dissemination of data.
  • Education: Post secondary education – preferably a university degree in economics, statistical or geographical science.
