Our client at Agriculture and Agri-food Canada has a request for one senior communications professional.
Duties
Key Responsibilities:
- Chair regular meetings with the project members and other stakeholders to get project status updates from project members, resolve issues and help broker agreement on approach
- Engage project participants as required
- Provide weekly status reports to senior management on status, issues and risks
- Provide input and analysis in the development of requirements and specifications to ensure the project goals are being achieved and are doable
- Consult various stakeholders to ensure the proper requirements are captured (e.g. usability from the end-user perspective, operational processes, etc.)
- Maintain/Update the project plan to identify and communicate key deliverables and milestones and track progress
- Interact with employees through e-mail, telephone and in-person meetings
- Time permitting, assist other E-Communications staff with other projects
Qualifications
Requirements/Skills Needed:
- Secondary school diploma is required. Certificate, diploma, or degree from a recognized post secondary institution, in a relevant field, is required
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience is required
- Has project management experience
- Has good communication skills
- Has good organizational skills
- Has a good understanding of the Web and of managing Intranet Web sites
- Ability to learn new software quickly
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Knowledge of Government of Canada Common Look and Feed Standards would be considered an asset
- Previous experience with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada or Government of Canada experience would be considered an asset
