Our government client is seeking the services of a Strategist with Secret clearance.
Evolve and execute strategic cycle to ensure the national strategies and action plans for Public Safety implementation of 700MHz broadband data for mobile interoperable communications for public safety and the Communications Interoperability action plan are aligned with Federal, Provincial, Territorial, Regional and Municipal requirements
Continued development of a strategy and process to facilitate the implementation of Technology and Capability Road-mapping from the Chem-Bio-Rad-Nuclear Research and Technology Initiative (CRTI), the Public Security Technology Program (PSTP), and the Canadian Police Research Center (CPRC) projects and subsequent implementation of technology, capability and product road maps for the most urgent and critical capability gaps and customer needs identified in relation to CBRNE and Interoperable Communications
Development and implementation of a CBRNE Virtual Centre of Expertise website in accordance with Public Safety Canada requirements for same
Charting the way forward in the working relationships with Provincial & Territorial partners
Implementation of a SharePoint portal for Senior Officials Responsible for Emergency Management (SOREM) and sub working groups
Provide strategic advisory support and assistance to the various Chiefs of ST&I in the form of developing project charters, lessons learned reports and strategy development planning documents
Develop and execute strategies to enhance alignment of priorities between Public Safety Canada Science Technology & Interoperability directorate and the Defence R&D Canada Centre for Security Science programs (CRTI, PSTP and CPRC)
A Bachelors degree from a Canadian University or equivalent from a foreign institution as determined by the Canadian Centre for International Credentials
Direct working knowledge and experience (3 years) with Canada’s CBRNE community
Minimum 2 years of experience in building FPT partnerships for new public service initiative
Minimum 2 years experience producing lessons learned reporting on major national security events of the scale of a G8 Summit or an Olympic games
Experience coordinating interdepartmental and multi-agency correspondence and strategic communications related to a public safety and/or security
Experience in providing assistance in developing a strategy cycle to ensure the national strategies and action plans to Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosives (CRRNE) and Communications interoperability
Experience in the alignment of Federal, Provincial, Territorial, Regional and Municipal governments in the development of emergency response measures across Canada
Knowledge of and experience in the creation of the now published National Strategy for communications interoperability and the National Strategy for Communications interoperability Action Plan
Knowledge of and experience in the creation of the creation of the Canada’s National Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosive Resilience Strategy and the Canada’s Nuclear CBRNE Resilience Action Plan
Evidence (documentation or sample web sites required) of experience developing a government website in the public safety or security related domain
