Our government client is seeking the services of a Bilingual Communications Advisor with Enhanced security clearance.
Certificate, diploma, or degree from a recognized college/post secondary institution, in a field relevant to the position, is required (marketing, journalism,communications, public affairs, media/public relations, English, e-communications etc.),
Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant federal government communications experience*,
Minimum of three (3) years of experience providing advice, and producing communication materiel for senior federal government officials, clients, etc in an Information Services team environment.
*Relevant federal government communications experience is defined as:
Researching, drafting and implementing strategic communication, outreach and media plans,
Executing communication functions that require coordination and consultation with co-workers, clients, media and stakeholders,
Planning, preparing and executing educational, publicity and media programs/activities,
Planning and executing the development and editing of content and style of Internet and Intranet sites,
Coordinating and preparing the development and editing of a variety of communications products, including but not limited to speeches, decks, talking points, new releases, media lines, media summaries, news clippings,
Planning and preparing special publicity, media and outreach events and promotions for internal and external audiences involving logistics, rentals and interaction with vendors,
Researching, planning and executing interviews, news conferences and media activities,
Acting as spokesperson and answering written and oral inquiries, including responses to Parliamentary Questions,
Analyzing emerging issues, extracting relevant content, preparing summaries, discussion/decisions documents or briefs, and providing recommendations and advice to senior Communications Officials.
